Johnson to Giants

ORANGEBURG– The Orangeburg county pipeline to the NFL got a little deeper Saturday, as former Orangeburg-Wilkinson standout, and former Clemson Tiger, Jadar Johnson was selected by the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent.
With his selection,Johnson became the eighth player in the history of the Bruins football program to make it to the NFL joining Jim Summers who played in the NFL one season (1967), Rusty Russell (1984), Max Runager (1979-1989), Dwayne Harper (1988-1999), Donnie Abraham (1996-2004), Arturo Freeman (2000-2005) and Tim Jennings (2006-2015).
Johnson finished his Clemson career amassing 106 tackles, nine interceptions and 12 pass breakups in 1,484 snaps over 54 games (17 starts), but now, as he officially joins the NFL, he understands that he will have to work harder than ever to make the team’s 54 man roster.
